I stumbled across quite an inspirational article on the NonProfit Times, which I thought I’d share to lift our spirits some after midterms. Young Chief Executives Are Finding Few Peers talks about the demand in today’s nonprofit world for talented and ambitious young leaders. Organizations are, "not looking for revolution, but evolution" to ensure the future for nonprofit organizations that impact hundreds or thousands of people’s lives. In addition, the article shares three success stories which show that age does not matter. Rather what’s important is the ability to be innovative, push the envelope, and take a few risks. With that in mind, I’d like to give all of the brave souls that get through this program a pat on the back. We are the future, and we have what it takes to carry on the arts in communities across the country (and beyond)! We will transform these tired and old systems into something stronger and something sustainable.
